Chill SpaAs you will quickly notice when visiting Jackson Hole, one of the first tidbits of advice you’ll receive from any local is to stay hydrated. And for good reason: At this altitude you can quickly become dehydrated, especially when physical activity (like skiing) is involved. So I suppose I will enter the long list of people who have already advised you when I say, “Drink plenty of water!” You’ll thank yourself for it later.

Besides gulping down some H2O, be sure to keep some chapstick and sunscreen on hand for when you’re out on the mountain. Slather both on a few times a day to make sure you are protecting your skin from the elements.

It also helps a great deal to do a bit of stretching before you venture out for the day. Cold weather and cold muscles can wreck havoc on your ski adventure if you aren’t warming yourself up.

When you’re done with your day, take advantage of the many relaxing resources in the Village and treat yourself to a yoga class or spa treatment. Many of the spas, including Solitude Spa and Chill Spa offer treatments specially designed to help your body relax and recover from an intense day of skiing, helping you feel rested and prepared to take on the next day in full force.
